Estonia and Finland will develop a single ticket

Urban governance of Tallinn proposed to develop a single ticket system that would allow to use a single document for all types of public transport in Estonia and Finland.
Statistics show that the number of people crossing the border of the two countries is constantly growing. Estonian citizens visit Helsinki not only as tourists, but also on working issues. And more than 60% of them are actively using public transport. With the existing system travelers have to buy at least a plane or a ferry ticket, and a ticket for the local buses or metro. The innovation will save time for the purchase of many travel passes.
Tallinn plans to cover almost half of the costs of developing and testing new software, with most of the funds to be made up of external investment rather than budget.
