Avaldatud 20. 2018.a.
Last week, the port of Tallinn published statistics on the number of tourists arriving in Estonia this year through the sea gate of the country. The number of guests increased by almost 12% compared to last year.

The largest number of visitors to the old town of Tallinn is cruise passengers. This season citizens of 170 countries crossed the border in the port, and every second is a resident of Germany or the United States. More than 10% of all tourists come from the UK.

Representatives of cruise companies operating in the Baltic sea note the growing interest in the region due to the opportunity to visit Tallinn, St. Petersburg, Stockholm and Norwegian fjords in one trip.

A new modern cruise terminal is planned to be built in the port of Tallinn to provide a high level of services to passengers. Technical documentation has already been developed, the opening is planned in early 2021.
