According to the results of the Startup Visa program launched two years ago, the number of applicants for a start visa is constantly growing. In 2019, it is planned to increase the indicators by more than 2 times.

The main flow of applications for permission comes from India, Turkey, Russia and Ukraine. This kind of visa allows entrepreneurs and ordinary employees to create their own projects, work in existing start-ups or move already created business to the territory of Estonia. At the same time, the project should be recognized as a startup in accordance with a number of criteria approved by the Commission of startup community in Estonia. It is possible to have support from the State represented by the financial institution KredEx.

2018 was a landmark year for Startup Visa. A large number of investments were attracted to create new jobs. At the same time, according to experts, young Estonian companies are sorely lacking marketers, IT-specialists, designers, etc. Therefore, in the future it is planned to carry out field activities in those countries where the largest number of visa applications is received, as well as to actively support specialists and entrepreneurs who have already moved to Estonia.
