Estonia asks to adjust the Mobility Package

The Estonian Department of Transport, together with representatives of ministries from 8 other countries, asked the EU leadership to amend some of the rules of the Mobility Package. This document will come into effect in a year.
The new rules require the truck to be returned to the EU state in which the carrier company is officially registered every 8 weeks. However, such "mandatory" trips will lead to a significant increase in emissions of harmful substances, which does not go well with the overall "green" development strategy of the European Union.
