Estonian cars must leave Russia by September 1

Estonia's customs service reminds citizens of the need to take out private cars from Russia before September 1. The grace period of use has been extended twice by the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation due to the covid-19 epidemic.

Temporarily imported vehicles used for personal needs can be used without paying duties and taxes until autumn. It should be noted that when returning to Estonia, car owners will need to take an express test at the border, regardless of the availability of a vaccination certificate.
