Ban imposed in 2015 on canned fish deliveries from Estonia and Latvia to Russia may be ended after the New year. This information was provided to journalists by the associate director of Federal Veterinary And Phytosanitary Monitoring Service Aleksey Alekseenko. According to the official, this issue will be discussed by the experts during several weeks.

The temporary ban on import of canned fish from Latvia and Estonia to Russia was imposed due to discovery of hazardous and harmful substances in products. In the nearest future Russian experts will examine records provided by the stated countries on quality guarantee of delivered products.
