Norway and EEA countries will allocate Estonia 68 million euros

Under the existing agreement since 2004, on the 9th of May Estonia, Norway and the countries of the European economic area signed two contracts, according to which Estonia will receive subsidies in the amount of 68 million euros. This money will be spent largely on development of small and medium enterprises, since such businesses provide jobs to the Estonian population. Subsidised funds also will be used for the development of the economy and civilian sector, education, science and other areas.

According to the Minister of EEA and EU Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway Frank Bakke-Jensen, the allocation of subsidies is designed to develop international relations between Estonia and Norway in the field of environmental and digital innovations.
