Tallinn airport will be expanded by several times
Publishedо 8 May, 2019
Recently the statistical services summed up the results of April in the field of transport: passenger traffic of the Lennart Meri international airport of Tallinn increased by more than 11% compared to last year.
The main increase was due to the appearance in the flight schedule of low-cost airlines such as Wizzair, Ryanair, etc. The number of passengers traveling to the largest air hubs of the European Union, such as Milan, London and Berlin, has grown significantly, as well as the volume of charter flights to Turkish resorts — by 21%.
Due to the fact that the main air harbor of Tallinn shows stable growth for more than 5 consecutive years, a fifteen-year program for the development of the airport with an increase in the size of passenger terminals by almost three times, as well as the expansion and improvement of the surrounding infrastructure was approved at the state level.
