Estonia to end customs cooperation with Russia in six months

Avaldatud 25. 2022.a.
Estonia has sent an official notification to the Russian Federal Customs Service of its intention to terminate cooperation in the sphere of cargo clearance at the border. The agreement concluded in 1999 will be terminated in six months.

A similar letter was sent by Latvia. At the moment the customs authorities are waiting for clarification of what principles should now be applied when dealing with cargoes bound for Russia. Logistics companies expect redistribution of flows and increase of cargo volumes via Finland and Belarus, if Poland and Lithuania do not close the border with Russia.
