DPD company, which is well represented in the global logistics market, plans to invest almost 5 million euros in the expansion of the network in the Baltic countries in the coming years. A significant part of this amount will be spent on the installation of new parcel automats in Estonia.

The contract for the production of modern automated issuing points, that meet all user requirements, was signed with the Austrian company Keba. At the moment the analytical department of DPD collects information to determine areas where the placement of the parcel automats will be most effective. This year, the express carrier plans to install 50 new cells, while taking into account the interests of not only large cities but also small settlements. Automats with the best range of cells will be selected for each point, cashless payment of orders will also be available.

Estonia is in the priority in implementing of this project. Statistics show that more than 75% of order recipients in this country prefer to use automated mail stations, rather than visiting the issuing points or waiting for the courier at home.
