The European Commission has approved the construction of LNG terminal started earlier by Tallinna Sadam. Work on the project will be made jointly by Tallinna Sadam, Koninklijke Vopak and Vopak EOS.

As planned, the construction of LNG terminal in Tallinn will be conducted step-by-step and the first step will be launched in the port of Muuga already in 2017. By 2019 it is planned to bring the object in line with regional requirements.

The European Commission highly appreciated the importance of building a liquefied natural gas terminal - an object of providing not only a strategic reserve of gas, but also normal functioning of the gas market in Europe.
