Cargo fleet instead of Rail Balticа

Estonian Seamen's Independent Union (EMSA) petitioned Riigikogu for reallocation of funds devoted to Rail Baltica construction to engineering of its own cargo fleet. The authorities of EMSA believe that Rail Baltica project should be frozen until the sum of its maintenance becomes clear.

EMSA representatives in their letter to Riigikogu remind that in 2011 the EU defined the development of marine and inland water transport as the priority goals, however, Estonia  still does not have a cargo fleet. At the same time huge funds are invested into Rail Baltica construction without any business plan.
