Russia leads in the growth of Estonian exports and imports

According to Statistics Department, the exports of goods increased by 15% and imports grew 14% in May of this year compared with the same period of last year. The export of mineral products had a significant impact on these changes.
Most of all, this is export to Russia which increased, it amounted to 28 million euros. Russia went up in the list mainly due to the re-export. Export of mechanical machinery increased to Russia (including excavators, woodworking machinery and equipment for processing of mineral resources).
The highest growth of import also occurred in Russia (41 million of euros). Russia imported mineral products most of all (including motor fuel and fuel oil).
