The Estonian cruise sector is ready for new records

Representatives of the St. Petersburg port "Sea facade" announced a project to create a special cruise company by 2019, which will allow tourists to sail calling at the largest Baltic ports, including Tallinn port, Helsinki port and Pionersky in Kaliningrad.
Tallink company, the largest shipping operator in the Baltic sea, which carried out the transportation of a record number of passengers (more than 500 thousand) last year, plans to increase turnover due to the new route. The number of tourists has already increased by almost 6% in January 2018. The direction of visiting the Estonian Islands, including Saaremaa and Hiiumaa, is actively developing.
Freight traffic also keeps pace with the increase in turnover – its volume for 2017 grew by 20%, and the number of cars transported amounted to a record 74 thousand units.
