Publishedо 4 June, 2019
According to the budget state strategy approved in April, Estonia will allocate almost 120 million euros for the design and construction of railway sections of the Rail Baltica project.

The Rail Baltica project is planned to connect the Baltic States and Poland with Western Europe. Contracts for the project documentation will be signed by the end of this year, large-scale studies on environmental safety will be carried out in the next two years, and it is planned to complete the purchase of land for construction by 2020.

The accompanying infrastructure involves the construction of a multimodal terminal in the port of Muuga and a number of passenger complexes, for example, in the port of Tallinn and near Pyarnu.
