Estonian ports can be the part of the "New Silk Road"

Estonian Ambassador in Kazakhstan Jaan Reinhold has noted interest of the country in a huge logistics project jointly realized by Kazakhstan and China at Horgos. Meeting of the various states' representatives of the last week also included visits to the sites of the Special Economic Zone “Horgos - Eastern Gate” and the Centre for Cross-Border Cooperation “Horgos”. 

 According to Reinhold, participation in the "New Silk Road" will strengthen economic relations of Estonia and Kazakhstan, and also will help the country to reach a new economic level, ensuring the transportation of container cargoes of China through the ports of the Baltic States. Herewith, the ambassador believes that strengthening economic relations is possible with no policy, butwith combination of logistics areas and mutually beneficial investment.
