Container traffic through the Port of Sillamae is planned for the I quarter of 2016

Northeast Estonian Port of Sillamae, that is under the leadership of the same name Russian and Estonian stevedoring company, plans to start regular service for container lines already in the I quarter of 2016. In test mode the port is operating since 2014, and transshipmentof the first real cargo was carried out on November 26, 2015.
Cargo terminal at the Port of Sillamae is designed for transshipment of 300,000 containers. The first batch of goods of Estonian wood industry with 156 containers left the port in late November on board of container ship Bomar Victory.
