Overall, in 2015 the number of pigs in Estonia decreased significantly - according to various sources by 11-14%. Also, slightly decreased the number of cattle - by 4%. Opinions on the change of the current situation in the meat sector of the agricultural sector in Estonia are different. Some politicians propose to open new sales channels of Estonian pork abroad to cover the losses. Others predict an increase in delivery of imported pork to the country to meet current demand.
