Development of the draft law on the introduction of time-based charging for passage of large trucks on Estonian roads was entrusted to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications on the basis of Government meeting held on February 16. The new road toll will be used to partially finance the maintenance of roads in the country. The draft law on the introduction of fees must be developed during the year.

Also, Estonian Government has considered the possibility of expanding the four-lane section of the route between Koze and Miao. According to preliminary data, the economic effect of the reconstruction of the site of Tallinn-Tartu highway will be up to 10 million euro per year.
