Export of agricultural products decreased by 8%

In 2016 export of agricultural products from Estonia decreased by 8% in comparison with the last year. The decline was influenced by a sharp drop in export of wheat, Atlantic salmon and milk concentrate.
The growth in export indices was observed in respect of unprocessed products and low-value-added goods, such as raw milk, trail mix, and dried peas.
The total volume of agricultural exports from Estonia in 2016 amounted to 1.1 billion euros, 778 million euros of which account for the products of Estonian origin.
