Estonian "supercapacitors" will be used in public transport

Avaldatud 28. jaanuar 2020.a.
Estonian startup Skeleton Technologies, which has attracted more than 50 million euros in recent years, will start working with Polish Medcom to develop food and storage elements for public transport, in particular for trams.

Modern two-layer electrochemical capacitors, developed at a pilot production facility in Tallinn, allow to accumulate vehicle braking energy and use it for further movement. Using supercapacitors with curved graphite technology will make public transport more environmentally friendly in the future and reduce the load on local networks during peak hours.
