On June 30 Estonian state-owned port operator AS Tallinna Sadam confirmed the construction of the LNG terminal in Estonian Muuga port that will receive and store liquefied natural gas transported by sea transport.
The terminal with an area of 8500 m2 will be built by the end of 2017 in the eastern part of the port. It is assumed that at the beginning low-volume receiving and distribution terminal will accept up to 4,000 m3 of gas, thereafter, its expansion and establishment of the gas distribution network will be considered.
Discussions are currently under way with AS Vopak E.O.S. for the conclusion of agreements for cooperation and building.
