Indices of export and import prices have decreased

According to the Statistics Department, in May of 2016 compared with the same period of the last year the indices of Estonian export prices have decreased by 3% and of import prices - by 5,1%. Decline is also observed in the indices of producers' prices. The difference between the indices of the current year and the last year is 1,8%.
Price cutting in carpentry and electronics production, and also price increase in the sphere of food and fuel oil manufacturing have influenced to a greater extent a change in index of producers’ prices of the industrial sector in May.
