Estonian sprats may be returned at the Russian market in the near future

From June 27 to July 1 the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service together with representatives of control departments of Republic of Belarus and Kazakhstan will inspect fishery enterprises of Estonia and Latvia. The inspection will be carried out with a view to control elimination of breaches resulted in import ban on fish products from the notified countries to Russia. 

Temporary ban related to usage in production of harmful and prohibited substances was applied to the products of all fishery enterprises of Latvia and Estonia in June of 2015. It involved fish industry of these countries in financial difficulties. Regarding the results of the coming inspection this ban may be lifted.
