In Sillamäe port the terminal of transshipment of ammonia and liquid chemicals will be expanded

In the middle of July the DBT company has informed the authorities about its intention to expand a BCT (Baltic Chemical Terminal) port terminal and to install by two additional reservoirs for ammonia and liquid fertilizer, and also a burner for ammonia vapors.
According to the company representatives, this expansion will be less than 33% of the existing terminal size and won’t affect its core activity. The authorities were asked to give an estimate of necessity to expand the existing capacities, and it was fortified with an environmental safety statement.
