Estonia may have a refined wood manufacturing plant

Preliminary analysis of the possibility to build a plant for the production of refined wood in Estonia has shown that the most suitable area for that purpose is the lower reaches of the Suur-Emajõgi. This is the location which allows to provide the necessary amount of fresh water for production. Another advantage of the Suur-Emajõgi is a convenient transport location and closeness to the sources of raw material.

Experts believe that the plant construction will create positive economic trends in Estonia. According to preliminary estimates, the volume of project investments is 1 billion euros, and manufacture is planned to be launched in 2022.
