Estonian company Balti Gaas plans to build LNG terminal at the port of Paldiski

Estonian company Balti Gaas plans to build LNG import terminal at the port of Paldiski. The project involves the construction of LNG tank with volume of 160 thousand m3 with the possibility to expand it twice. At the same time as the construction of the reservoir it is planned to build terminals for LNG regasification and its supplies to Finland and Latvia. According to preliminary data, the gas supplier to Estonia may become an American company Cheniere Energy.

The Alexela group holding, which includes Balti Gaas company, has already spent 10 million euros of their own resources for the terminal project. And work on construction and equipment is estimated at 340 million euros, investing of which is expected from the EU.
