It will be possible to buy online in Estonia on the general EU conditions

The directive on non-discrimination of clients depending on their citizenship and place of residence, approved earlier by the Parliament of the country, came into force in Estonia this week. So far, the issues have not been resolved only in the field of media space.

According to the new rules, any buyer in Estonia will be able to purchase the products of the manufacturer or seller of the European Union at the same price and on the same terms as the other citizens of the Commonwealth. Previously entrepreneurs could set certain requirements and cost for each of the participating countries (the so-called geoblocking), as well as redirect the client's request to a separate web page. Now this will require an additional permit.

A separate issue is the abolition of such restrictions on products in the media sphere mainly for copyright protection. Solution of this problem was postponed for the next two years.
