The state-owned Estonian airline Nordic Aviation Group recently announced the closure of five routes to various European destinations by the autumn of this year. This measure should bring the carrier to the zone of profitability.

In addition, the Board of Nordica signed an agreement with LOT Polish Airlines on the transfer of the functions of managing the commercial part of the flights, from the sale of tickets to the development and approval of new routes, to the Polish side. The Estonian side will provide transportation from a technical point of view.The reduction of some areas is a temporary phenomenon designed to stabilize the company and improve its financial condition. According to the management, this measure will not entail a reduction in staff.
